Client Spotlights

Kilnfolk Clay

Faith Odman has always dreamed of becoming a business owner. Throughout her life, she has also cultivated a love of ceramics. She decided to start Kilnfolk Clay when she noticed the need for a ceramic studio in downtown Vancouver.

Faith is an active client of MESO in Vancouver. She has received business consulting and completed many MESO classes including our Business Building Series and Digital Media class. She also completed her Business Plan, Marketing Strategies Plan, and Finances Operations worksheets. Faith received the 40/60 Forgiveness loan, and this funding helped her organize her studio, hire employees, buy needed supplies and inventories, and open her studio in 2022.

MESO in Vancouver has been actively supporting Faith in her journey and we are excited to see how her journey evolves.

Chico's Classic Barbershop

Raul Barasa is the owner of Chico’s Classic Barbershop Co located in Vancouver which he started in 2020. His business was impacted by Covid-19 and went through ups-and-downs during the pandemic. He became a MESO client at the beginning of 2023.

He worked closely with his business advisor on his business assessment and was eligible to apply for the Forgiveness loan. With the help of his advisor, he was able to prepare all needed documents for the loan package and his loan application was approved. This funding is helping Raul to build his marketing campaign, hire more employees, and to close the gaps of the impacts of Covid-19 on business.

We are thrilled to see Raul's business is not only surviving but thriving, and we can't wait to see what is to come.
